Short answer: most large crypto exchanges pay affiliates a revenue share of their referrals’ trading fees, with published maximums from about 10% to 70%. The highest headline rates are usually reserved for affiliates who bring a lot of trading volume, so the base rate and the tier rules matter more than the maximum. The table below lists only figures published on each exchange’s own program page, checked on 19 October 2026.

How to read these numbers
- Base rate is what a new affiliate typically starts with. Many exchanges do not publish it and set it after reviewing your application.
- Maximum applies to the top tier, usually tied to referral volume or a negotiated deal.
- Sub-affiliates means you also earn when affiliates you invite bring users.
- Duration matters: some programs pay for life, others for a fixed period such as 6 or 12 months.
How to choose a program
- Start with exchanges that legally serve your audience. Our comparison table shows regulation by country.
- Prefer exchanges your audience would choose anyway: competitive fees, good liquidity and a clean regulatory record.
- Compare payout terms, minimums and how quickly commissions are settled.
- Ask for a custom rate if you have an engaged audience. Many exchanges negotiate.
