Max leverage: BTC perpetual at the lowest position tier, from the official site (checked 20 Oct 2026). Larger positions get less. In the EEA, crypto derivatives fall under MiFID II, not MiCA. Licensed EU entities usually cap retail leverage at 10x.
How this list is built
We include centralized and decentralized exchanges with a verified futures (perpetual) fee schedule and rank them by our score. Leveraged derivatives are high risk and are restricted or banned for retail clients in some countries, so check the regulation table on each review.
Frequently asked questions
Are crypto futures legal in my country?
It depends. Many exchanges restrict derivatives in the US, UK and other jurisdictions, and some regulators ban them for retail clients. Each review shows restrictions from the exchange’s terms and official registers.
What fee matters most for futures traders?
The taker fee, because market orders and stop orders usually pay it. Funding rates also apply to perpetual futures and are not included in the trading fee.
Are perpetual DEXs included?
Yes, where we could verify the fee schedule. DEXs are non-custodial, but local rules still apply to you.
