US-listed spot Bitcoin ETFs returned to net inflows on Monday, taking in about $110 million, according to SoSoValue data reported by Cointelegraph. The bounce follows roughly $774 million in withdrawals over the previous two trading sessions.
October flows still in the red
Despite Monday’s rebound, the funds remain negative for the month, with approximately $202 million in net outflows for October through Monday. That keeps the ETF bid from acting as the steady tailwind it was during stronger months, and it leaves flows reacting day to day to price and macro headlines.
Bitcoin traded at about $79,595 at the time of the Cointelegraph report, down 2.6% over seven days according to CoinGecko. The Crypto Fear and Greed Index slipped to 48 from 50, still in “Neutral” territory.
Retail sending more BTC to Binance
On-chain data adds a cautious note. CryptoQuant analyst Darkfost wrote that retail Bitcoin deposits to Binance nearly doubled to $10.8 billion over 30 days, while deposits from large holders fell to $3.8 billion. Darkfost suggested smaller investors may be using recent bounces as a chance to sell, which can add supply near resistance.
The data lands in a heavy macro week, with the Federal Reserve’s rate decision due on Wednesday, October 28, and major tech earnings on the calendar. Both tend to move risk appetite and, by extension, ETF flows.
What it means for traders
- One green day is not a trend. A single $110 million inflow day after a $774 million exit is a modest offset. Watch whether inflows string together through the Fed decision.
- $80,000 is the line in focus. BTC is trading right around it; a clean hold or loss there will likely shape ETF flows in the days ahead.
- Exchange inflows matter. Rising retail deposits to exchanges can signal selling intent, so keep an eye on volatility around the FOMC.
If you trade around events like this, fees, liquidity and order types matter. Our exchange comparison ranks platforms on these points, with BingX and OKX at the top of our tests. See how we test exchanges for the method.
