TL;DR

US spot Bitcoin ETFs took in $137 million on Wednesday, their third inflow day in a row, lifting three-day inflows to about $424 million and turning October net flows positive at $111 million. Ether ETFs kept bleeding, with October outflows now at $1.35 billion.

Bitcoin ETFs in the US pulled in $137 million on Wednesday, extending their inflow streak to three sessions and pushing October back into positive territory with two trading days left in the month, according to SoSoValue data cited by Cointelegraph.

The three-day haul now stands at roughly $424 million, which lifts October net inflows to $111 million. Through Tuesday the month was still in the red, after close to $774 million left the funds over the final two trading days of the previous week.

Inflows held up through a hawkish Fed

The rebound came on the same day the Federal Reserve kept its benchmark rate unchanged at a target range of 3.75% to 4%. Fed Chair Kevin Warsh warned that inflation remains above the central bank’s 2% target, a message markets read as hawkish.

Bitget analyst Lewis Huang said that with limited new direction from the Fed, Bitcoin’s near-term performance “may depend more heavily on Treasury yields, dollar movements and broader risk sentiment.”

Bitcoin traded near $79,848 at the time of the report, down about 1% over 24 hours per CoinGecko. The Crypto Fear and Greed Index held at 51, or Neutral, for a second day in a row.

Ether ETFs keep losing money

The picture is very different for Ether. Spot ETH ETFs shed another $21 million on Wednesday, taking October net outflows to $1.35 billion. ETH traded around $2,310, down 1.7% on the day. The gap between steady BTC demand and persistent ETH redemptions has been one of the clearer themes of the month.

What it means for traders

Three straight inflow days show institutional buyers are still willing to add BTC near $80,000, even after a hawkish rate decision. That said, a $111 million monthly net figure is small, and one heavy outflow day could flip October back into the red before Friday’s close. Traders watching flow data should track the last two sessions of the month, along with Treasury yields and the dollar, which analysts now see as the main drivers. Continued ETH ETF outflows argue for caution on ETH relative strength until redemptions slow.
