Dune launches real-time feeds for 200 onchain trading venues, aimed at institutions

TL;DR

Blockchain analytics firm Dune launched market data feeds covering more than 200 onchain venues across 12 blockchains, delivered about one second after execution. Quant funds, market makers and bank desks are early clients, as tokenized stocks grow to $3.58 billion.

Wall Street wants to see what happens on chain before it trades there. Dune, best known for its community dashboards, has launched real-time market data feeds covering more than 200 onchain trading venues, aimed squarely at institutional trading systems.

What the feeds cover

According to Thursday’s announcement, the service delivers trade data from 12 blockchains, including Ethereum, Solana, Base and XLayer, roughly one second after execution. It covers spot trading on decentralized exchanges and perpetual futures on Hyperliquid and Lighter, with standardized prices, trade sizes and transaction details across markets.

Co-founder and CEO Fredrik Haga said quant funds, market makers, asset managers and bank trading desks are among the first clients, though he would not name them. They use the data to assess liquidity, compare prices across venues and test strategies before committing capital. “Most institutions are watching onchain markets first, because they can’t price these assets properly without them anymore,” he said. The main obstacle, in his words, is that “the same stock trades on dozens of venues across different chains.”

Tokenized stocks are growing fast

RWA.xyz data puts the distributed value of tokenized stocks at $3.58 billion, up from about $627 million a year earlier, an increase of roughly 470%. Growth has brought friction. OKXICE, the joint venture of OKX and NYSE owner Intercontinental Exchange, announced a tokenized stock platform on 4 October and has since drawn objections from a growing list of listed companies, including Microsoft, Alphabet and Goldman Sachs. Analysts have also warned that trading the same tokenized stock on many chains can create price gaps and slippage.
