Intercontinental Exchange, the owner of the New York Stock Exchange, plans a market for Hyperliquid perpetual futures in the US, according to a FulcrumNews headline relayed by BWEnews on October 29. No launch date, structure or regulatory filing was given, and the report follows months of ICE talks about onchain perps.

Hyperliquid perpetual futures could get a home on Wall Street. Intercontinental Exchange (ICE), the owner of the New York Stock Exchange, plans a market for Hyperliquid perpetual futures in the United States, according to a FulcrumNews headline relayed by the BWEnews wire at 10:32 UTC on October 29, 2026.
The headline did not include a launch date, the contracts involved, which ICE venue would list them or whether regulators have signed off. At the time of writing TradeReviewed could not find an ICE press release confirming the plan, so treat it as a report until the company comments.
Why ICE has been circling Hyperliquid
The report fits a pattern. In May, ICE chair and CEO Jeffrey Sprecher said at a Bernstein conference that ICE had met the Hyperliquid team several times and was asking regulators for a “level playing field” on 24/7 onchain perpetual futures, The Block reported. “What we are saying to the regulators is, ‘Can we do that?'” Sprecher said.
ICE has also agreed with OKX to launch never-expiring oil contracts based on its Brent and WTI benchmarks, while Hyperliquid itself now lists 24/7 Brent and WTI perpetuals, according to EnergyReader.
Kraken’s parent is already in line
ICE would not be the first traditional player with a US Hyperliquid plan. Payward, the parent of Kraken, announced on September 16 that it wants to offer US clients perpetual futures on Hyperliquid HIP-3 markets through its CFTC-regulated Bitnomial exchange, with NinjaTrader Clearing holding accounts, CoinDesk reported. As of October 28 that plan still needed regulatory approval and had no launch date, according to TokenPost.
What it means for traders
- Headline risk for HYPE. Reports of big US venues adopting Hyperliquid can move the token fast, and an unconfirmed squawk can also be walked back. Wait for an official ICE statement before sizing up.
- US access is still limited. Any regulated US product would likely be a separate, permissioned market, not open access to Hyperliquid’s existing perps.
- Perps are available today on major exchanges. If you trade perpetual futures now, compare fees, leverage and liquidity in our crypto exchange comparison. BingX ranks first and OKX second in our tests; see how we test exchanges.
