Initia (INIT) margin trading delisted on KuCoin on October 30: what INIT holders must do now

29 Oct 2026

TL;DR

KuCoin will remove margin trading, lending and borrowing for Initia (INIT) at 02:00 UTC on October 30, 2026. Open orders will be cancelled and loans force-repaid, so users with INIT margin positions should close them and move tokens out beforehand.

Exchanges TradeReviewed News Desk

KuCoin has announced that it will delist the margin trading services for Initia (INIT) at 02:00 UTC on Friday, October 30, 2026, which is 03:00 CET. The notice, published on the KuCoin announcements page, applies to isolated margin and gives affected users less than a day to act.

What is being switched off

From the delisting time, margin trading, lending and borrowing for INIT will close. Transfers into the margin account for the token and loan repayment will also be suspended, although KuCoin says transfers out of margin accounts will not be affected.

For anyone still holding loans in INIT margin accounts, the system will cancel all open orders, start the liquidation process to close the positions and repay the loans automatically. KuCoin also warns that if the price moves sharply, the delisting process may start earlier than scheduled. Its trading bot service will remove INIT margin grid bots too, and any bot still running at the deadline will be shut down automatically.

Spot trading is not mentioned

The announcement covers margin services only. It does not say anything about INIT spot trading on KuCoin, so this is not a full token delisting based on the notice itself. Users who only hold INIT in a spot or funding account are not the target of this change.

What it means for traders

Forced closures during a delisting can be expensive. KuCoin itself notes that existing positions “will significantly affect the cost of delisting”, and liquidity in a margin market often thins out as the deadline nears. If you have an INIT margin position, the practical steps are the ones KuCoin lists: cancel open orders, close positions, repay loans and transfer INIT from the isolated margin account to another account before 02:00 UTC.

Margin delistings also tend to weigh on sentiment for the affected token, because they remove a venue for leveraged longs and shorts.
