Strategy executive chairman Michael Saylor says Bitcoin should "definitely" move back into six figures, beyond $100,000. The quote, circulated by Watcher.Guru on Tuesday, matches what he told Bloomberg Television on 13 October, when he also said BTC bottomed slightly below $60,000. Bitcoin was trading near $81,400 on Tuesday, so the target implies a gain of roughly 23% from current levels.
Michael Saylor is once again telling the market that Bitcoin is headed back to six figures. A Watcher.Guru post on Tuesday quoted the Strategy executive chairman saying BTC is “definitely” moving back into “six figures”, and the line matches comments he made in a Bloomberg Television interview on 13 October. At the time of the latest post, Bitcoin was trading around $81,400, according to CoinDesk market data.
What Saylor actually said
In the Bloomberg interview, Saylor described the past twelve months as a contraction and argued that the low is already in. He said Bitcoin hit the bottom “slightly below $60,000”, bounced, and is now “moving up into the 80s”. Asked how high it could go in this cycle, he said it “should definitely move back into the six figures”, beyond $100,000. He also repeated Strategy’s long-term forecast that Bitcoin grows 20% to 30% a year over the next 20 years.
Saylor blamed the weak stretch on restrictive trade, foreign, currency and monetary policy, and pointed to a more favourable regulatory environment, faster bank adoption, tokenized securities and growing digital credit networks as new tailwinds. He said Strategy, as a rule, is an acquirer and expects to keep adding Bitcoin and issuing credit in a bull market, while keeping the flexibility to buy or sell assets when markets call for it.
Strategy keeps buying, but in smaller size
Strategy remains the largest corporate holder of Bitcoin. It disclosed a purchase of 250 BTC for the week to 11 October at an average of $86,194 per coin, its smallest buy of 2026, and Watcher.Guru reported on Monday that the company bought another 267 BTC worth about $22 million. Buying at a slower pace is worth keeping in mind when weighing a bullish call from the firm with the most to gain from higher prices.
What it means for traders
- Treat it as sentiment, not a signal: Saylor has been consistently bullish for years, so the comment adds little new information. From about $81,400, a return to $100,000 needs a move of roughly 23%.
- Watch the flows instead: spot Bitcoin ETF inflows and options positioning say more about near-term direction than any single forecast. On Tuesday, options traders were paying up for downside protection even after strong ETF inflows.
- Size positions for volatility: if you trade the move with leverage, use stop-losses and keep margin buffers, since by Saylor’s own account Bitcoin fell to slightly below $60,000 at its low before recovering into the $80,000s.
- Pick the right venue: fees, EU licensing and withdrawal reliability differ a lot between platforms. Our exchange comparison shows them side by side, and our testing methodology explains how we score each one.
What to watch next
Look for Strategy’s next weekly purchase filing, daily spot ETF flow data and whether Bitcoin can reclaim the mid $80,000s, where Strategy made its most recent buys. A sustained break above that zone would make the six figure call look less like a slogan and more like a trend.
