Ripple unveiled new Ripple Treasury features at Swell 2026 on October 26, including 24/7 Returns that let eligible companies earn on idle operating cash overnight and on weekends via qualifying digital assets such as RLUSD. A new AI orchestration layer built around GSmart can now run treasury workflows in manual, semi-autonomous or fully autonomous mode.

Ripple announced new capabilities for its corporate treasury product, Ripple Treasury, on October 26 at its Swell 2026 event in New York. According to the company’s press release, the update is meant to let businesses manage cash, liquidity and payments around the clock rather than only during banking hours. Ripple named American Airlines, Trax, Christian Louboutin, Subway, Adecco and Kingfisher among the businesses using Ripple Treasury.
What 24/7 Returns does
The headline feature is 24/7 Returns. Ripple says it is designed to help eligible corporate customers earn on operating cash that would otherwise sit idle overnight, over weekends and during holidays. Customers may earn returns on qualifying digital assets held in a Ripple wallet, including RLUSD, Ripple’s US dollar-backed stablecoin, subject to program requirements. Ripple’s product page says principal is returned to the customer’s operating account before the business day starts, and that companies do not need to manage the underlying digital asset transactions themselves.
As crypto.news pointed out, RLUSD is explicitly part of the returns product, while XRP only appears in the release’s general company description, without a defined role in the new feature. Digital assets also stay optional: companies can choose fiat or digital rails for each task and keep their existing banking relationships.
AI agents with configurable autonomy
The second part of the launch is an orchestration layer that works with GSmart, Ripple Treasury’s AI tooling, across cash positioning, forecasting, reconciliation, liquidity management and payments. Per crypto.news, customers can set each workflow to manual (agents prepare actions and wait for approval), semi-autonomous (agents act within company rules and notify users) or fully autonomous. That is a step beyond the September GSmart rollout, which required approval before any action was executed.
Renaat Ver Eecke, senior vice president of Ripple Treasury, said: “The way businesses move money is changing, and treasury needs to evolve with it.”
What it means for traders
For markets, the more relevant piece is RLUSD. A corporate yield product that routes idle cash into the stablecoin could add steady demand and on-chain activity for RLUSD, while the direct effect on XRP is unclear based on what Ripple has published so far. Treat headlines that link this launch to an immediate XRP price impact with caution until usage numbers appear.
