By the TradeReviewed Research Team. Fee data from official exchange fee pages, checked 19 Oct 2026; volumes from CoinGecko, 23 Oct 2026. How we test
- Sell your crypto for euros on a MiCA authorised exchange, then withdraw by SEPA to a bank account in your own name.
- Use the spot market, not instant convert, and a limit order if you can: trading costs about 0.1%.
- Expect KYC checks and source of funds questions for larger amounts; keep your purchase records.
- Profits are usually taxable in your country, so calculate before you sell.
Step by step: crypto to euros in your bank
- Pick an EU authorised exchange with SEPA. OKX Europe (MiCA, Malta) supports euro withdrawals by SEPA. BingX EU received its MiCA authorisation in October 2026; check that euro withdrawals are live for your country. Compare options on our best EU exchanges page.
- Verify your account. Complete KYC with the same name as your bank account. Withdrawals to third party accounts are rejected.
- Send the crypto to the exchange. If it sits in your own wallet, copy the deposit address and check the network. See what a crypto wallet is.
- Sell on the spot market. Sell to EUR directly (BTC/EUR, ETH/EUR, USDC/EUR). If there is no EUR pair, sell to USDC first, then USDC to EUR.
- Withdraw by SEPA. Add your IBAN, confirm with two factor authentication. SEPA usually arrives in one business day, SEPA Instant in minutes where supported.
What it costs
| Step | Typical cost |
|---|---|
| Network fee to send crypto to the exchange | Depends on coin and network |
| Spot sale (OKX) | 0.08% maker / 0.1% taker |
| Spot sale (BingX) | 0.1% maker / 0.1% taker |
| Instant convert button | Spread built into the price, often higher |
| SEPA withdrawal | Shown on the withdrawal screen, often low or zero |
Selling 2,000 euros of BTC with a market order costs about 2 euros in trading fees. Using a card off ramp or a P2P buyer can cost far more.
Rules to know
- Travel rule: since 30 December 2024 exchanges record sender and recipient details for crypto transfers. You may be asked to confirm that a wallet is yours.
- Bank questions: some banks ask where the money comes from. Keep exchange statements and a transaction export.
- Taxes: gains are taxable in most EU countries. Use our crypto tax calculator and tax basics.
- Scams: nobody legitimate needs your recovery phrase to “release” a withdrawal. See how to avoid crypto scams.
Which exchange to use
For EU residents, OKX is the most established option with SEPA euro withdrawals under MiCA; BingX EU is the newer MiCA option. Compare fees in OKX fees and BingX fees, or read BingX vs OKX. In our overall ranking BingX is #1 and OKX is #2.
