TL;DR

US spot Bitcoin ETFs saw $635 million in net outflows on Thursday, the biggest one-day exit since June 25, according to SoSoValue data. The withdrawals ended a three-day inflow streak and left October with $175 million in net outflows, while BTC traded around $81,800.

US spot Bitcoin exchange-traded funds (ETFs) recorded $635 million in net outflows on Thursday, October 22, according to SoSoValue data cited by Cointelegraph. The withdrawals more than erased Wednesday’s $528 million of inflows and turned the month’s running total negative again.

The biggest daily outflow since June

Thursday’s figure was the largest single-day net outflow since June 25, when the funds lost $696 million. It also snapped a three-day inflow streak that had brought in $1.08 billion.

October now stands at $175 million in net outflows. The weekly picture is still positive, with $443 million of net inflows so far this week, after two straight weeks of outflows before the rebound.

Bitcoin price slips back from $84,777

The ETF exit lines up with the price action we covered on Thursday, when bitcoin was turned back near $85,000 and slid below $82,000 as doubts about the AI trade hit risk assets. You can read that in our earlier story.
